Cluster information obtained from the Fluwiki Cluster Page and Validated the information against WHO Updates. Unless otherwise noted, the information listed is from the Cluster page. The clusters on the flu wiki page were obtained using WHO updates, ProMed And Peer Reviewed Studies.
A cluster represents 2 or more persons who had contact with each other where at least one has been tested and returned positive for H5N1. Human to Human spread is NOT established or presumed in this document.
Some persons exhibiting symptoms at the same time (or near the same time) as tested and positive individual may be included, but will be acknowledged.
The Onset date of the index case dictates the month cluster is located. The Index case may or may not have been tested and is included in the count.
Only Countries are identified and multiple clusters in the same month, same country, are not separated into States, Provinces, or other.
